Q Construction Solutions, Remodeler
When our clients, a stylish couple relocating from California to Austin, bought a home in charming Barton Creek, it needed some love. In particular, they wanted to transform their weary kitchen and bathroom into a modern harbor from their busy lives. We focused on warm minimalism with classic touches. Extending the retreat-like experience in the updated kitchen and earthy bathroom, we furnished the living and dining spaces with soft lines and ample negative space.
We were privileged to work with our friends and frequent partners, Q Construction Solutions, on this fabulous remodel.
Step one involved removing old cabinetry, millwork, flooring, and fixtures. Step two was replacing them with light, earthy tones in clean lines and organic shapes – a design strategy that we extended to the home’s new furnishings.
Our client’s was a joy! From the sophisticated simplicity they were seeking, to their appreciation for high-quality materials. Some of our favorite features: the kitchen’s custom-cut marble checkered flooring, the kitchen’s double-thick marble countertops, the primary bathroom’s hand-placed travertine tiles, and softly curved living room furniture.
