Behind The Design 
Previously dark, shut off, and needing more storage, the main level of this 1938 Brick Colonial-style home was not working for this family of six in the heart of the Country Club neighborhood of Edina, MN. They needed a home that worked for their on-the-go lifestyle – filled with work, travel, extracurriculars, and sports.
The reconfigured main level now features a spacious new mudroom, a modest powder bath, and a revamped home office for him. The vintage kitchen went through an especially stunning transformation. The wall between the old kitchen and the detached breakfast nook was removed for a more spacious effect. Now, the kitchen features three walls of custom cabinetry storage and an island where the family can gather for a quick meal on busy nights, making memories to last a lifetime.
