Home Tour of A Modern Farmhouse in Dripping Springs, TX

Designed for Everyday Living, Furnished for Entertaining

With sprawling hilltop views and a private retreat fit for everyday life, this secluded modern farmhouse was built with the love of entertaining in mind.  A nature-inspired, neutral interior backdrop adds the perfect organic touch, and furnishings further personalize this home with a focus on seating and socialization in Dripping Springs, Texas.

A new build by Strobel Homes, their team made the process a dream for both designer and client. The decisions mainly focused on finishes and furnishings – elements that make the home your own and let you showcase your design style.

Art on Display

Neutral colors and finishes provide the ideal backdrop for contemporary artwork by Julie Ahmad, which adds just the right amount of color and artistic elements to this modern farmhouse. The dramatic color palette of the primary bedroom sets the stage for a contemporary portrait with soft jewel tones contrasting monochromatic floral details, and lots of texture.

Cool tones in the artwork featured throughout the open main floor living space complement the jewel tone of the couch and contrast against the warmth of cognac leather. This living room feels cozy and sophisticated with artwork on display – the perfect mix of modern and classic styles.

This modern farmhouse provides the perfect contemporary backdrop for bold notes of color, which makes this home ideal for Julie Ahmad’s artwork. The colors blend with rich jewel tones featured throughout the home while complementing the warm wood tones and luxe furnishings.

Make it Moody

The mudroom and laundry room are spaces where the function is crucial and aesthetic an ideal outcome. The tile backsplash offers immediate inspiration and adds dramatic contrast against a largely neutral backdrop in a moody, nature-inspired green. This room helps alleviate some of the hustle and bustle of everyday life and even features a cozy nook for the family pets.

A Modern Farmhouse Kitchen

This kitchen perfectly mixes classic and modern – white cabinetry feels timeless next to a white herringbone backsplash. But, as an elongated subway tile, it elevates and adds interest while continuing to speak to its classic farmhouse roots. Contrasting finishes add interest, warmth, and texture, from the Fortress honed quartz perimeter with cabinetry in Sherwin Williams Pure White to the Puro white quartz island countertop with stained white oak. A mix of black and brass finishes creates a cohesive look and bridges fixtures and hardware.

Classic and neutral, there’s room for notes of color, inviting a hint of everyday personality to the space. The Fay + Belle runner is a playful and fun touch that perfectly captures the style and charisma of the clients, with a hint of color that carries throughout the main level.

Dining Room Details

Dining room chairs feature a modern silhouette, and clean lines are paired with stained wood finishes – adding warmth to complement the modern farmhouse aesthetic. A neutral palette lends itself to tone-on-tone patterns and subtle color in the window treatments, which frame private Hill Country views.

Whether you need an ideal spot to entertain in the Texas Hill Country or an exclusive retreat for everyday life, this modern farmhouse is the perfect addition to its Dripping Springs neighborhood – an area known for its community, wineries, breweries, and stunning hilltop views.
